Bucket List

Even though I’ve been to Japan twice and have seen so many things as a result of those experiences, I still have so much more I’d like to see there! I’ve only lived in the Chukoku area, specifically Nagoya City in the Aichi Prefecture and Gifu City/Mizuho City in the Gifu Prefecture. To be able to see other areas not in the central area of Japan would be amazing! So here’s my list of places I’d like to see within Japan. I’ve added a long list of things I’d like to do in Hamamatsu-shi; it sounds like an amazing city! I’m so excited to get over there to start teaching!

  • Climb Mt. Fuji
  • If climbing is timed right, see a sunrise on the top of Mt. Fuji
  • Fruit picking at Nakagomi Orchard with possible overnight stay
  • Lake Hamana Flower Festa
  • Enshu Hamakita Flying Dragon Festival
  • Unagi Kabayaki Experience (basically catch your own eel and eat it, YUM)

  • Yokohama Pokemon Center
  • Visit J-World in Sunshine City
  • Tokyo Disneyland (No matter how many times I visit this place, it will never be crossed off)
  • Usagi Cafe

Japan in General

  • Attend the annual Snow Festival in Sapporo
  • Visit the island of Shikoku
  • See the Naruto Whirlpools in Hyogo
